Sumiya's Deep Character Exploration
I wanted to give myself a challenge and explore outside my culture when It came to making my Character Designs. Sumiya is a proud reflection of it as I explored more into South Asian Culture. I wanted to make him an active and positive character, questioning myself on how others can relate to him. I wanted Sumiya to be a kind and expressive fighter. I did some research regarding the culture and studied the unique and beautiful patterns the culture had to share! Here I did some explorations of his movements and personality, I also did some silhouette grey scale variations to help me with his final render!
Later down the line, I wanted to put him into a fantasy. Maybe give him supernatural abilities or even make him a strong fighter. Here I explored some more designs and ideas for his final render.
Naomi (Japanese Oni Design)
Naomi is a fun-loving, money-grabbing demon with a knack for mischief—though she's not as bad as she seems. She's just trying to survive! One of my favorite characters, she travels with her magical tiger companion, Kato, who can grow and shrink at will, making him the perfect partner for her heists!
Project Jekyll and Hyde
Originating from the Jekyll and Hyde franchise, I created two characters based off of the story. Code: Jekyll (Silver) is a designed robot with two functions, Intellectual and Compact. The two are one being with separate minds, separate codes.
